Finding the Hidden Usable Spaces

Recently, WILLCO's in-house architect, Maureen McCafferty, was featured in an article in Oregon Home magazine, 'Stealing Space'. This article talks about capturing unusable space in a home. In all of our remodel and renovation projects, we try to incorporate and utilize all the hidden spaces around the home. From creating a broom closet in a stairway during a kitchen remodel to providing built-in recessed soap and shampoo shelves in showers during bathroom remodels, we want to maximize the usable square footage available in your home. WILLCO will help you to find and maximize all of the usable space in your existing home.

WILLCO can also help you utilize spaces that are not performing as they are intended. In this recently completed project at the Sullivan home, we modified an existing closet space into a built-in bookcase. The existing closet was too narrow to hang clothes and was being under-utilized. With a few minor modifications we were able to turn the closet into a usable bookcase for the Sullivan's home office and library space.
