Melissa Gard’s inner SE Portland kitchen remodel is complete! WILLCO worked with her to provide complete design-build services, bringing her kitchen from concept to reality.
Melissa’s goal in remodeling her kitchen was to open the room up and create a functional space while still maintaining the character of the house. Somewhat limited in the space we had available, we collaborated with her and created an island that gave her access to the dining room and provided additional storage. We also worked with the client to utilize the compact kitchen space with the addition of stacking lazy susans in the cabinetry corners’.
Our client wanted to keep the aesthetic of the kitchen simple so that the primary colors in the room would come from accessories rather that the room itself; so we kept it simple with stainless steel appliances, solid stone counters tops and white tile in a sophisticated herringbone pattern. Our skilled in-house carpenters and painters have incorporated traditional craftsman crown moldings and managed to flawlessly blend the transition between remodel and existing home.
We really enjoyed working on this exciting kitchen remodel and are proud to present Melissa with a functional, open kitchen for her home. Projects of this nature can be quite a burden on our client’s lifestyles once construction starts and we appreciate that they choose WILLCO; trusting our services to bring their vision to life in the most convenient way possible.
